I heard about the importance of "tummy time" early on and how it would give our baby great neck strength. So I probably started putting Bree on this spinning Lady Bug contraption a little early...but look at that great neck control!! ;o)

Bree is proving to be fussier than most babies....but she loves bathtime and the sound of the hairdryer. This bath put her at total rest. Yea!

zoo baby!

We are members of the Woodland Park Zoo. It's 20 blocks from our old house. We used to hear the Panang Monkeys on a quiet day. Today was Bree's first time at the zoo. And even though she slept through most of it...some pretty cool animal sightings took place...as usual most zoo visits find us witnessing something bizaar. This time it was the giraffes which were courting one another...swooning and interlocking their long, elegant necks.

s-t-r-e-t-c-h!!

Bree's little personality is starting to shine through. One of the ways we see glimpses of it is when she wakes up from a nap. She's to sweet!!

Bree wakes up just about every two hours after being put down to sleep. She takes about an hour to breastfeed, then we get about a half hour of hanging out time before she starts to get a little fussy and is ready to go down for a nap.

Bree's first vacation and trip outside the U.S.!

Kelley's parents have a couple time shares and are very generous to always invite us to join them. This particular time share was booked a year out...that's right, before we knew a baby was on the way. We stayed on the beautiful Victoria, BC waterfront where we watched sea plane after sea plane come and go. We also took a few day trips to see the coast line (check out the eagles perched over Sean's head). But most of all, we enjoyed Bree's "one month birthday" and all her new discoveries...like clothes shopping with Mom and Grandma!

In true Seattle fashion....the first warm, glorious days of spring head us all out onto the water or the mountains. We headed for the ski boat which we'll moor on Lake Sammamish for the summer. Kelley's folks were in town and love to soak in the scenery whenever possible.

We hope to enjoy much of our maternity/paternity leaves on the lake with Bree...
